For those of you who don't know who Dog the Bounty Hunter is, aka Duane Chapman, he's a real life bounty hunter. This means that he chases down ex-cons who try to skip out on bail, thus forfeiting their bail.

Dog and his wife own a bail bond company and Dog is the enforcer. The show may sound serious, but it is actually really funny and kind of sad. It takes place mostly in Hawaii, where there actually is a lot of poverty, which translates into a lot of crime.
