Hulu.com: New Free Movies and TV Show Website

Hulu.com is a free video-streaming website created by NBC and Newscorp to compete against Google's Youtube.

Although topping Google and Youtube seems like a battle of epic proportions, Hulu will probably be successful for a few reasons.

The first reason is that Hulu is a well-designed website that hosts complete episodes of awesome tv series and movies. And the kicker is that you can copy a little bit of code and show the movie or tv show on your blog or website. There are some short advertisements, but the quality of the streaming videos is so good that no one will care.

Another reason Hulu will be a success is that it hosts only quality professionally produced content, so it won't be cluttered by amateur attempts at film making. Hulu is in beta phase right now with only selected invites able to check out the site, but for more information and to see some sample videos from Hulu, read this article at Salon.

You can sign up for the private beta at Hulu, but it's unclear if you will get immediate access to the free tv shows and movies, or if there will be an approval period.

Hulu has tv shows in their entirety. Episodes of Arrested Development, 24, Saturday Night Live, Scrubs, and The Office will be hosted on the site. Even shows from as far back as the 1980s, like Hill Street Blues. Any tv show from NBC or Fox will be available.
